Anyone that has known me knows my passion for and love of Bonsai. I have grown, studied, displayed, demonstrated and taught Bonsai for over 27 years.
Current Curator of the Governor Generals Bonsai collection, former Assistant Curator and primary carer of at the National Bonsai and Penjing collection. I have furthered my studies in Bonsai in Japan in 2011 and visited the famous collections of Mr Kunio Kobayashi, Fujikawa Kouka-en, the late Mr Suburo Kato and Mr Daizo Iwasaki.
I received the Bonsai Clubs International award for excellence in both 2011 and 2012 for Bonsai design and horticulture, as well as numerous local, state and national awards for Bonsai. My bonsai have been selected for photographic display in The World Bonsai Friendship Federation 2013 Bonsai Commemorative Album, six of my trees have been selected by committee for loan to the National Bonsai and Penjing collection, including one permanent donation.
I have provided high profile bonsai tours for the wives of Australian and Japans chief of navy and the guests, the Duke of Kent, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles (Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall
But as all good Bonsai and Penjing artists know, you never stop learning and improving your skills.
